In this current time with so many unknowns and new routines, self care practices that include attention to our social emotional wellbeing are critical to our overall health.

With Zoom meetings and conference calls becoming a part of our 'new normal', taking a few minutes to stretch our bodies and minds is within our capacity. Most of us, including a beginner like me, benefit from facilitated guidance.

Katie Marren is a Vice Principal in Prince George [SD57]. She has graciously shared 2 Mindful Minutes practices that she developed with her colleague Dan Watt, a Principal in Prince George [SD57].

Mindful Minutes 1 [KM DW] is intended for individuals or groups and features Katie introducing the initial breathing activity and Dan closing the activity. [8 minutes]

Mindful Minutes 2 [For Students] was developed as 'start to the day activity' for students and staff and features Katie introducing the initial breathing activity and Dan, closing the activity. [5 minutes]
