What will I learn from Sky, Water, Earth?

The playlists in Sky, Water, Earth are focused on building career competencies of Communication, Creative Thinking, Networking, and/or Self Knowing & Self Development. Each activity is designed to help you develop these competencies, learn about science in the real world, and understand how to present your experiences on a resume or in an interview.

How much time will it take?

It depends on how many playlists you tackle and which playlists you choose to complete. The playlists vary in total length and the estimated amount of time required is listed on the playlist homepage. A playlist is a collections of XPs (learning experiences). Each XP ranges from 5 minutes to write an introduction, 7 minutes to watch a video, to a few hours to volunteer. You can complete some of the XPs whenever you have some time - while you are waiting for the bus or during a school holiday.

What platform does Sky, Water, Earth use?

The playlists are hosted on lrng.org and the online community is hosted on muut.com. Please be aware both platforms are not on a Canadian housed server. In order to help protect your data privacy, you can use an alias.

If you are a teacher and would like your students to submit their work to LRNG, please follow any school or district policies, especially with respect to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. This may include getting parental permission and protecting student personal information. Your students should also be informed of this.
