Effective Emergency Communication Tools

Hi

Wondering if there are emergency communication tools being used to connect directly with students, parents,  district and communities that folks can recommend?

I've heard of a few school level apps and 'broadcast' text / email solutions connected to student absence reporting software and a few district level email approaches.

If you have experience with an effective solution, please share.

Thanks!

David

 HI David

In school district 61 (Greater Victoria) we use a program called SchoolMessanger https://www.schoolmessenger.com

Hi David:  We used an Appazure App at Chatelech SS (SD 46 Sunshine Coast) and pushed out any emergency response items. Mark Sauer, who is still there as the VP, can probably give you more information if needed. (msauer@sd46.bc.ca)

We use our "Sullivan Heights Stargazer" app (Appazur) which has the ability to send out push notifications through the app, You can download it for free on your mobile device if you'd like to check it out.  The messages on the app are linked to our twitter account and it has the ability to also send SMS messages.
